For clarity and to ensure your safety and mine we will agree a written contract, determined by your requirements, before any counselling begins.

Confidentiality

All information we discuss is confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party, with the exception of my legal obligation to inform the relevant authorities if any of the following is apparent:

• That children might be at risk of any potential harm
• If you are at risk of harming yourself
• If you are at risk of harming others
• If others are at risk of harming others
• That you are involved in drug trafficking
• That you are committing an act of terrorism

Supervision

It is standard medical practice that all counsellors (regardless of their qualification and experience) receive regular supervision. As well as providing this service to other counsellors myself, I will, as part of my commitment to you and to ensure that you receive the highest levels of support, receive supervision on a monthly basis.

As a counsellor and a supervisor of other counsellors I adhere to the British Association for Counselling's Codes of Ethics and Practice for Counsellors. www.bacp.co.uk
